Guest xonnex
Hi, First I would like to say, great package, I am enjoying it a lot. Your video was quite helpful getting me up and going, thanks! That being said, I am having some issues with OBM and Mixamo Animations. The thumbs seem to bend the wrong direction, here are some example pictures from "Great Sword Idle" https://www.dropbox....okenthumbs1.PNG https://www.dropbox....okenthumbs2.PNG The hands in general look a bit weird, but the thumbs are the worst part as they are noticeable when running around with a third person camera. Here is what they are suppose to look like: https://www.dropbox....kingthumbs1.PNG https://www.dropbox....kingthumbs2.PNG Are the joints just backwards? I am not that familiar with 3d modeling, so I am hoping you can help me fix this. Thanks
admin
HI The thumbs are not like that on the regular animations, so its definatally something to do with the way the 3rd party animations have adapted to the rig. Is it something to do with the way you have setup mecanim perhaps? Steve
Guest xonnex
Okay, so I think you are right, it has to do with how the avatar is setup. Here is a picture of the right hand: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hjcdjbyao3ktn70/awkwardhand.PNG The fingers are mapped to the wrong bones. So, I tried to correct this, but get this weird error instead: https://www.dropbox.com/s/70b0s5taxhx7yw9/notintpose.PNG Lastly the left hand greatly differs from the right. It doesn't have the same number of bones per finger/thumb: https://www.dropbox.com/s/34aro2jnd29fjl4/lefthand.PNG The left thumb only has two bones, whereas the right has 3, likewise the left pinky has 3 bones and the right has 2. Also, the right little finger is called the left little finger: https://www.dropbox.com/s/33e8b9mgdew1bws/rightvleft.PNG Know how I can correct this? I figured remapping would work, but the not in T pose error is really strange to me. Thanks!
